I come from the beautiful island Sri Lanka. We are known for our "Ceylon tea" and great hospitality. My home is a 5 mins walk from the Indian ocean. We love curry!!!

Teaching is my passion, it is a very rewarding career. I get to meet interesting people and mentor them to achieve their goals. Research helps my curious mind to grow and explore. I enjoy presenting my work at conferences and sharing ideas with other academics.

When I do not do mathematics, I like to sing and dance. I love Zumba and salsa dancing. I also love traveling. Seeing beautiful places, meeting new people and cultures is amazing!

Different cultures excite me. I try to educate myself in these different cultures whenever I get a chance. I also love to learn new languages. I am fluent in Sinhala (native) and English. I am an advanced French student and intermediate in Spanish. I also can read and write Tamil. In the future, I want to learn Italian and Portuguese as well.
